Cách xác định từ loại và tuân thủ giới hạn từ cho dạng câu hỏi Short Answer.
Luật giới hạn từ (Word Limits)
Dạng Short Answer Questions yêu cầu bạn lấy từ trực tiếp từ bài đọc để trả lời. Điều quan trọng nhất là phải tuân thủ giới hạn từ.
Ví dụ: NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS AND/OR A NUMBER
- 'honey bee' = 2 từ (Hợp lệ)
- 'the honey bee' = 3 từ (Sai)
- '250' = 1 số (Hợp lệ)
Lưu ý: Các từ có dấu gạch nối (hyphenated words) như 'state-of-the-art' được tính là MỘT từ.
Dự đoán câu trả lời
Trước khi scan tìm câu trả lời, hãy phân tích từ để hỏi (question word) để dự đoán loại thông tin cần tìm:
- Who: Tên người, nghề nghiệp, nhóm người.
- Where: Địa điểm, quốc gia, khu vực.
- When: Năm, thế kỷ, thời kỳ.
- How much/How many: Con số, tỷ lệ phần trăm.
Việc này giúp bạn tập trung vào đúng loại thông tin khi đọc lướt (scan) bài đọc.
